At Oceanology International in London General Acoustics launched the new SUBPRO 2545 Sub-Bottom Profiler. The SUBPRO 2545 is the only Sub-Bottom Profiler that can be integrated into a small Unmanned Surface Vehicle and the only Sub-Bottom Profiler that can measure from depths starting at 20 cm!

The SUBPRO 2545’s multi-frequency capabilities result in the efficient surveys and extraordinary results. Settings can be adapted to specific applications, for example, soft sediment, sediment transport and upper layers of sediment applications. The high-resolution capability of the system enables outstanding detection of embedded objects.

BlueZone GM, Andrew Hazell, said that the SUBPRO 2545 was an example of another capability that could be integrated into the Teledyne OceanScience Z-Boat providing new tools for ocean science, hydrographic survey and other applications. “At BlueZone Group we have the engineering capability to integrate many different sensors and systems into the OceanScience Z-Boat,” said Andrew, “Our experience is from working with demanding customers like the [Australian Army]”, commented Andrew, “We have built the capability in Australia for Z-Boat application engineering and would be pleased to assist customers with a SUBPRO 2545 integration task.”
