Z-Boat Demonstration in Perth

The BlueZone Group’s, Perth office has conducted a successful demonstration of a Z-Boat survey completed using a Kongsberg M3 Multibeam sonar for test trial in Hillarys Boat Harbour.

The multibeam sonar was integrated by the Fugro Survey team in Perth assisted by staff from Fugro BTW in New Zealand. The flexibility and capability of the Z-Boat platform were demonstrated with the straightforward integration of a new sonar type into the platform. Equipment integrated included a Panasonic  Toughbook mounted inside and Microsoft remote desktop was used over the Hydrolink-N Ethernet radio for live survey data.
